October 25, 2025 | San Damiano Retreat Center, Danville, CA
We don’t have to leave our daily routine at school to encounter the sacred. God is already there, present in the needs of colleagues, the questions of students, the fatigue of service, and the quiet moments in between.
The CALLED program invites you to slow down, pay attention, and rediscover what makes your “yes” matter. This retreat offers space to reflect on your journey and reconnect with the deeper meaning behind your work, whether you’re in the classroom or supporting those who are.
This special event will be led by CALLED retreat leaders Kathy Lorentz and Fr. John Gribowich, both of whom have spent their careers in education. All teachers, administrators, and anyone working in education are invited to attend this retreat.
Through prayer, conversation, and reflection, this one-day retreat is built around CALLED’s three core messages:
Embrace the second half of life.
Find wisdom, faith, and joy in the journey rather than the race.
Live with radical compassion.
Begin with yourself and extend that compassion outward to those you serve every day.
Listen deeply and share freely.
Discover the sacred in others and allow your story to awaken hope.
Together, we won’t be going home with another spiritual “to-do list.” We’ll leave with a renewed sense of peace, clarity, and purpose in your vocation as an educator.
