Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is CALLED?
CALLED is a flexible, dynamic program designed to help you recognize and embrace Preaching Moments in your daily life—those sacred opportunities for healing, connection, and compassion that happen in classrooms, at dinner tables, on the soccer field, or even during conversations with a friend.
CALLED takes shape as a retreat, a course, or a combination of both, offering a blend of spiritual growth, reflective practices, and interactive learning tailored to your needs.
2. How does the program work?
CALLED offers multiple formats to suit different schedules and preferences. You might join us for:
A 3-night in-person retreat for immersive growth and reflection.
A virtual course with weekly 90-minute sessions.
An integrated experience combining a retreat with virtual learning for deeper exploration.
Each format helps participants become more attentive to their hearts, one Preaching Moment at a time.
3. Does the program always follow the same structure?
CALLED is designed to be flexible. For example, one cohort may include 6 virtual sessions leading up to a retreat and 2 sessions after, while others might focus solely on the retreat experience. The structure adapts to fit the needs of the group and setting.
4. What happens after the retreat?
In the integrated model, follow-up virtual sessions help you apply what you’ve learned and explore ways to live out your call. There may also be an optional session for those preparing to mentor or assist future cohorts.
5. How many participants are in each course or retreat?
To ensure meaningful engagement and personalized attention, CALLED limits participation to 25 individuals per cohort.
6. Do I have to attend all components?
For integrated experiences, yes—the retreat and virtual sessions are designed to complement one another. However, standalone retreats or courses may also be available, depending on the program.
7. Will past participants be invited to future retreats?
Yes! CALLED values community and continuity. Future retreats will invite past participants to reconnect, though space may be limited based on the retreat center’s capacity.
