CALLED One Day Workshop for Music Ministers Registration
In Association with the LMU center for Religion and Spirituality…
A special one-day retreat for those who lead the Church’s prayer in song.
We don’t have to be performing to experience transformation. Sometimes, the most important work happens in the quiet, before the first note is heard. This is a day to rest, to reconnect with the heart of your call, and to rediscover the sacredness of your “yes.”
CALLED: Beyond Music Ministry is a day-long retreat designed especially for those who serve through liturgical music. It’s not a workshop. It’s not a conference. It’s a spiritual pause, and a holy invitation to slow down, pay attention, and let compassion lead.
This special course for music ministers is presented by LMU’s Interim Director of Choral Activities John Flaherty, Sunday to Sunday Production’s Fr. John Gribowich, host of the Attentive Heart podcast, and Kathy Lorentz, a compassion counselor, spiritual director and longtime educator who has worked in ministry for over four decades.
Through shared prayer, meaningful conversation, and guided reflection, we’ll explore how the “second half of life” changes the way we serve; how self-compassion and rest make space for resilience; and how music becomes a vessel for mercy, healing, and presence
You won’t leave with a to-do list; just renewed peace, purpose, and joy in the ministry you love.
