Saint Dismas

Saint Dismas, known as the Good Thief, shows us the power of repentance and mercy. Even in his final moments on the cross, he recognized his mistakes, turned to Jesus with faith, and asked to be remembered. His story reminds us that it is never too late to change and ask for forgiveness.

One important lesson from his life is hope in God’s mercy. Saint Dismas did not let his past define him. Instead, he trusted that God could forgive him, and Jesus welcomed him with compassion. This teaches us that no matter what we have done, we can always turn back to God with a sincere heart.

Another reflection is humility and honesty. He admitted his wrongdoing without blaming others. This reminds us to take responsibility for our actions and to be humble enough to ask for forgiveness when we make mistakes.

Finally, Saint Dismas invites us to reflect on faith at any moment of life. Even at the end, he believed and trusted in Jesus. His example encourages us to live with hope, to forgive others, and to remember that God’s love is always stronger than our sins.

Daily Reflection Question:
