CALLED is a formation program that offers retreats, workshops and online content inviting you to breathe and allow yourself to be who God made you. We invite leaders, educators, parents, and all who serve in Catholic faith formation to discover a deeper, more authentic way of living their vocation as one that embraces both life's joys and its challenges as paths to spiritual growth.

Our Three-Tier Framework

  1. Embracing Second-Half-of-Life Living

By trusting that our life experiences were always meant to provide a foundation for the next chapter, we can view our spiritual crossroads not as revolutions to fear, but as revelations to embrace. And there is one crossroad that stands out from all the others; it's that pivotal moment in life when you realize that the answers you've always relied on simply cannot address the challenges you're facing now. The changes that happen after you embrace and learn from this moment are often referred to as the “second half of life.”

Whether you're navigating parenting struggles, professional disappointments, or spiritual questions that don't have easy answers, this transition invites you to explore beyond what's comfortable and familiar.

At CALLED, we create safe, communal spaces where you can:

    • Acknowledge that confusion and doubt are part of the spiritual journey

    • Discover that God speaks in unexpected ways

    • Find confidence to explore new dimensions of your faith

    • Connect with others navigating similar transitions

This isn't about abandoning your foundation—it's about building on it with greater wisdom and authenticity.

  2. Cultivating Radical Compassion

Compassion goes far deeper than kindness or charity. True compassion means entering into the suffering of others—and ourselves—with the heart of Christ. For those serving in Catholic education and family formation, compassion becomes transformative when we.

    • Practice self-compassion first: You can't pour from an empty cup. Learning to be gentle with your own failures, anxieties, and disappointments equips you to truly support others.

    • Enter into others' struggles creatively: Moving beyond quick fixes to walk alongside students, parents, and families through their real challenges

    • Integrate compassion into your vocation: Recognizing that teaching, parenting, and ministry are themselves acts of compassion to the world.

  3. Telling Your Story

Your journey matters. The struggles you've faced, the growth you've experienced, the way God has worked in your unexpected moments—this is the most powerful form of witness.

    CALLED empowers you to:

    • Share your authentic experiences of faith, doubt, and discovery in both formal and informal settings

    • Speak about spiritual growth in ways that resonate, not intimidate

    • Create space for others to tell their stories too

    • Model for children and teens that real faith includes real questions

This isn't about preaching doctrine—it's about sharing how God meets us in our actual lives. When parents and educators tell their stories honestly, they give permission for the next generation to bring their whole selves to their faith.
