A Proverbial “Word From Our Sponsor”

This week’s reflection is the proverbial “word from our sponsor” Sunday to Sunday Productions. As many of you may know, CALLED is made possible by a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment Compelling Preaching Initiative awarded to Sunday to Sunday Productions and the Passionists.  What you may not know is the storied history of Sunday to Sunday as a ministry dedicated to media that inspires faith in action. So it’s with great pleasure that we will soon be rolling out the updated Sunday to Sunday website with a whole new look, as well as a new faith-in-action podcast offering - Work Your Values. Check out the trailer below!

Our new Work Your Values podcast explores the intersection of work and faith - and the deeper meaning behind our professional lives, where everyday work becomes a path to purpose and our true calling. Through candid conversations and storytelling, Sunday to Sunday's Frank Connelly reveals how values like dignity, justice, and service shape the way we lead, live—and inspire others. The podcast also dovetails nicely into the themes of Father John’s Attentive Heart podcast, so it’s more to enjoy as part of your subscription to our newsletters!

So in closing, we leave you with a reflection from the “work your values” Saint of the Ordinary person, Saint Josemaria Escriva

“It is no good offering to God something that is less perfect than our poor human limitations permit. The work that we offer must be without blemish and it must be done as carefully as possible, even in its smallest details, for God will not accept shoddy workmanship. ‘Thou shalt not offer anything that is faulty,’ Holy Scripture warns us, ‘because it would not be worthy of him.’ For that reason, the work of each one of us, the activities that take up our time and energy, must be an offering worthy of our Creator.”
