CALLED Retreat (One-Day)

  • Saint John the Evangelist 10431 Twin Rivers Road San Mateo, CA United States (map)

October 25, 2025 | Saint John the Evangelist | Columbia, MD

You don’t need a microphone to share the Gospel. God speaks through your presence, your compassion, and your story. And often, it’s not until the “second half of life” — after we’ve experienced some measure of loss, transformation, or awakening — that we begin to see more clearly how God has been at work all along.

This CALLED retreat offers a sacred pause: a chance to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with the deeper meaning of your spiritual journey. Guided by Fr. John Gribowich and Kathy Lorentz, we’ll explore how storytelling and compassionate presence can become everyday forms of ministry.

This afternoon gathering is especially for those who have said “yes” to leading and loving others through parish ministry, family life, or quiet acts of faithfulness. Through conversation, prayer, and practical tools, you’ll rediscover how your story — even the parts still unfolding — may be a gift someone else needs.
